When the printing houses Keski-Pohjanmaan Kirjapaino Oyj and HSS Media Ab joined their forces, the printing plant Botnia Print was created in 2011. The printing plant prints both Finnish and Swedish newspapers of Central Ostrobothnia and some commercial magazines in Kokkola. Botnia Print employs over thirty people and is the only company in Finland which uses waterless printing technique.

After renewing the machinery of the entire factory at once, the company decided to ease the management of maintenance work with a maintenance system. After careful consideration, references and a close familiarization, Botnia Print chose ARROW Novi. The aim was to maintain the entire machinery correctly and sufficiently straight from the beginning of its life cycle.

The company wanted to carry out the preventive maintenance as well as possible. When the amount of usage determines when the maintenance is due to happen, it is possible to avoid over- or under-maintenance of the machinery. Most of the preventive maintenance is generated according to operating hours which are manually added into the Novi system.

“Thanks to ARROW Novi, we have documentation of the entire lifecycle of the production equipment. In addition, implementation was easy for the maintenance because of a high motivation and a light organization”, Quality and Development Manager Toni Klemola sums up.
